Following a period in the financial services industry and having developed a passion for financial planning, Tom was invited to join the API Shelly Beach team in 2016. He holds a Postgraduate Diploma in Financial Planning and completed Allan Gray’s Behavioural Coaching Programme in 2019.

Tom started his career in the financial services industry fresh out of the military when he joined Boland Bank many years ago as a junior clerk. His banking career rapidly progressed to the level of Commercial Banker with BoE Bank.

Tom and his family subsequently settled in the South Coast of KZN where he was involved in a number of business- and corporate ventures before again being drawn back to the financial services industry by his passion for financial planning and investments.

Tom is married to Charlene and they have 2 children. He enjoys the outdoors and is a proper motor-head. He keeps himself busy with activities such as fishing, 4x4ing, hiking and golf.
